Podcasts offers over 20 categories, including Podcast Top 100, Business & Finance, Comedy, Food, Health, LGBTQ, Politics (both Left and Right), and more. Under Playlists you can browse by Mood & Activities (currently, 11 categories that include House Work, Cooking, Workout, and Road Trip), Decades (1950s through "Now"), and Genres (the same as those found under Radio). (Oddly, playlists not tied to any geographic area are also included in the local listings.) You can also select any state and browse local radio stations by cities in each state. Select Radio from the menu bar at the top of the home screen and you can browse playlists and local radio stations in over 20 Music & Entertainment genres such as Top 40 & Pop, Country, Hip Hop, Classic Rock, College Radio, and Christian & Gospel.

IHeart Radio provides lots of options for finding the content you want to hear. You can listen to iHeartRadio for free without creating an account or logging in, but connecting the Roku app to a free iHeartRadio account lets you save stations, playlists, and podcasts under Your Library, and these favorites are saved between devices. The All Access plan ($9.99/month) gives you those features plus the ability to download and listen offline (on non-Roku devices) and you can create your own playlists. Ad-supported listening is free, but upgrading to a Plus account ($4.99/month with a 30-day trial) gives you unlimited skips on the iHeartRadio playlists and the ability to play specific songs and albums on demand. Quick Look: iHeartRadio offers a huge selection of local radio station broadcasts, music playlists, and podcasts.
